Trust the Process

I checked into my room today and my roommate had placed her things in the room but was nowhere to be found. I met up with my new german friends and some other yogis i now practice dialogue with (which means we each take turns saying the dialogue while the others do the pose to practice). we took the hotel shuttle to Wal-Mart to stock up on food for the week. i had to buy a new bikini darn it - from wal-mart - it works. the wal-mart is similar to the ones in america. best thing about wal-mart here, you can booze it up for free. each liquor company had a girl serving alcohol mixed in a fun drink for you to try. who knew, getting boozy at wal-mart was ever an option. too bad i have to sweat my balls off tomorrow or i might have enjoyed some more of the local wal-mart culture.

other great things about mexico, ahhhh, the produce, fresh herbs, limes, avocados, giant papayas and mangos and so cheap!!!! to bad i dont have a kitchen or i would be going nuts.
instead i stocked up on yogurt, boxed milk, granola (so yogi), fruits, veg, peanut butter, breads, nutella (mmm), staples to get me through a week of torture.

upon returning i relaxed with my new roomie who is from Switzerland. her accent cracks me up, very swiss. she has some pep, bouncing around the room. very very sweet. we went to the introduction tonight at 6pm. Rajashree (bikram's wife) spoke tonight welcoming us and passing on some advice. we need to be patient with ourselves and trust the process, a direct line from softball coaching 101.
310 people attending training! about 25 are stuck in america not able to leave because of hurricane ike. they will catch up with us in one week! that is a lot to miss.

we went over some rules. .
no wal mart bags in the lobby, hide the food coming in
cover yourself after yogi class - don't walk around in your yoga clothes

here is my favorite rule from the manual

please schedule all non emergency appointments on weekends, as not to conflict with training schedules (i.e. massages, acupuncture, chiropractic, psychoanalysis, sweat lodges, tarot reading, drum circles, etc.) haha

you know this rule was made cause some guy probably missed class and said to bikram . . .
uhhh i had a very important drum circle meeting and i couldn't make class. i can't believe it's in the manual!

i think i have a good core group of people i know. it's nice most are foreigners (dutch, german, swiss, south african, korean), good mix.
after meeting we had a very nice buffet dinner, i pigged out then enjoyed some ice cream! preparing my body for torture.

after the germans and i went into the yoga room, it's so big, and already hot. i took some awesome pictures of me in the room, sitting on bikrams white chair on the pedestal. shhhh, don't tell!

tomorrow morning the "guru" speaks - bikram that is at 10am. this will be so interesting. i'm fascinated with how people will behave around him! i'm also curious what he has to say.

well, i must get going if i want to make my tarot card meeting tonight.
cheers!
